Frequently asked questions
Therapy begins with getting to know you — what has brought you here, what you are experiencing now, and what you would like to be different. Together, we’ll explore the experiences and relationships that have shaped you, as well as the patterns showing up in your life today. Sessions are collaborative and may involve talking and making sense of your experiences, working with emotions and relational patterns, or noticing what is happening in your body. Before your first session: You’ll receive a consent form covering confidentiality and important practice information to review and complete in advance, so we can spend more of our time together focusing on you. How often will I need to attend therapy?
There is no set schedule you need to commit to before beginning therapy. We can discuss the frequency of sessions together based on what you’re looking for, your individual needs and what feels manageable for you. This can also change over time as your needs and circumstances change.
There is no set timeframe for therapy. How long we work together will depend on what brings you to therapy, the patterns and experiences we are working with, and what you hope to gain from the process. Throughout our work, we can regularly reflect on what you’re getting from therapy, what may be changing, and what you may still want to explore or work towards.
Sessions are held online via video call, allowing you to attend therapy from a private and comfortable space. Before your appointment, you’ll receive a link to join the session. You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and somewhere you can speak privately without interruption.
Individual therapy sessions are 60 minutes and $200 per session. I am a recognised provider with Bupa, Medibank and ahm. Depending on your level of cover, you may be eligible for a private health rebate. I recommend checking directly with your health fund to confirm your eligibility and rebate amount.
I understand that sometimes plans need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made 24–48 hours before your appointment will incur 50% of the session fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, will incur the full session fee.
Yes. What you share in therapy is treated as confidential and your privacy is taken seriously. There are some circumstances where I may be legally or ethically required to share information, including where there are serious concerns about your safety or the safety of another person, or where disclosure is required by law. The limits to confidentiality will be explained clearly in your consent form before we begin working together.
If you’re ready to begin therapy, you can book a 60-minute session directly through the Book a Therapy Session button and choose an available appointment time. If you’d prefer to speak with me first, you can Request a 15-Minute Consultation. I’ll contact you to arrange a suitable time for a brief conversation before you decide whether you’d like to book a therapy session.
